The Late-2027 Safari Season

The Late-2027 Safari Season

From late November to early January, five trips run back-to-back across China and Taiwan. Each one stands alone — a complete trip with its own arc, its own bookings, its own price. Read them one at a time. Then, if you can’t choose, don’t: they were built to connect.

1 · Shanghai Week

Sunday, November 21 – Saturday, November 27, 2027 · $1,985

China’s showcase city in one week: the Xiaomi EV flagship, the 118th floor of Shanghai Tower, the Astronomy Museum in Lingang — and Thanksgiving dinner in a private room overlooking the Bund.

2 · Beijing Week

Sunday, November 28 – Saturday, December 4, 2027 · $1,985

The winter-quiet capital: a ¥40 low-season Forbidden City, an empty midweek Great Wall, Xiaomi’s EV factory, and a mall staffed by robots. Continuing travelers ride the 350 km/h flagship rail up from Shanghai.

3 · The SETI & Space Expedition

Sunday, December 5 – Saturday, December 18, 2027 · $3,985

Two weeks built around one decision: if a rocket is launching from Wenchang, we’re on the beach watching it; if not, we’re standing over FAST — the largest radio telescope on Earth and the world’s premier SETI instrument. Beijing’s space corridor first, Shanghai’s astronomy capital to finish.

4 · Taiwan Tech Tour

Sunday, December 19 – Thursday, December 23, 2027 · $1,985

Five days, visa-free: Taipei’s tech quarter, the National Palace Museum, and Hsinchu — the town that makes the chips in everything you own. Home for Christmas.

5 · Winter Pearl River Delta

Monday, December 27, 2027 – Saturday, January 8, 2028 · $3,985

The flagship: thirteen days through Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Zhuhai, and Macau — Huaqiangbei with a fixer, BYD and XPeng, a New Year’s drone show, and the 55-km sea bridge home. Engineered so most US travelers need no visa at all.

If you want more than one

The five legs run on consecutive weeks, so they chain without a wasted day. Book adjacent legs and the discount grows with the chain:

  • 2 adjacent legs — 5% off
  • 3 adjacent legs — 10% off
  • 4 adjacent legs — 15% off
  • All five — 20% off (49 days, Shanghai to the sea bridge)

Enroll early: book 180 or more days before departure for 10% off, or 90+ days for 5% — locked in at deposit. Bring friends: 5% off for your first friend, 2.5% more per additional friend, up to 7. Discounts stack — but the combined total never exceeds 20%.

All site visits are subject to confirmation and availability. Prices per person, double occupancy; single-room supplements on each trip’s page.
