We exist because of a gap
YouTube is full of Shenzhen factory tours with tens of millions of views; actual bookable trips for English-speaking professionals are nearly nonexistent — and the few that exist promise access they can’t verify. Technology Safari started with a simple discipline: no stop goes on an itinerary without dated, sourced evidence that outside groups actually get in. We publish the confidence level of every stop and keep a straight face about the ones that are attempts.
What we believe
The best way to understand the world’s second-largest economy isn’t a think-piece — it’s riding its driverless taxis, walking its component markets, and watching a 16,000-ton press stamp a car body. Infrastructure is curriculum. Skepticism is respect. And a trip should breathe: dim sum matters too.
